PPF Group, through its biotechnology company Sotio, already offered help to the Ministry of Health last week and, after agreeing with Deputy Minister Prymula, purchased 20,000 protective masks and delivered them to the Czech Republic; they are currently being donated to general practitioners around the country.
The Group just confirmed to the Government that it has purchased 100 million Czech crowns’ worth of personal protective equipment from Spain and China through its company, Home Credit, and that this will be handed over free of charge to the state on Monday. The donation includes:
These medical items will be ready for gradual delivery to the Czech Republic on the evening of Monday, 16 March 2020. Transportation will be arranged by the Government of the Czech Republic, which today is the only entity that can obtain the requisite permits for exporting such large quantities of medical material from China.
